DC Microgrid Project

We are looking for innovative and ambitious companies all over the world to revolutionize energy with us. The project focuses on efficient energy conversion, designing versatile converters, optimizing system integration for demanding applications, and studying subsystem interactions.

Scope

  • Development of innovative DC/DC converter technologies for varying voltage levels with advanced power semiconductor devices and new materials for magnetics design 
  • Enhancing system efficiency, modularity and scalability in industrial DC-grid applications 
  • Research on improving methods for energy flow optimization, protection and safety measures, EMI and stability investigations including subsystem interactions for advanced converter systems

Ambition

  • International consortium comprising industrial partners along the value chain
  • Target:  ~ 10 Partners in the program
  • 4 years project duration
  • Universities and academic partners are eligible to participate (special contribution model applies)
  • PhD students within project possible - supervised by academic partners
