The project leader is CEA Leti and the consortium includes several universities and RTO’s across Europe: SAL, Tyndall, VTT, Fraunhofer Mikroelectronic, IMEC, CEZAMAT, UC-Louvain, INP, Sinano and UC Granada
FAMES
The main goals of the project are:
- Develop advanced FD-SOI technology at 10nm and 7nm levels to support innovations in non-volatile memories, RF components, and power management.
- Enhance Europe's semiconductor industry by providing state-of-the-art manufacturing tools and infrastructure to increase production capacity.
- Enable open-access semiconductor services through a distributed fabrication model, fostering collaboration and innovation across Europe.
The FAMES project, led by CEA Leti, is a European pilot line initiative involving 10 partners across Europe. It is set to run for four years with a total funding of 830 million euros, of which 20 million are dedicated to SAL.
