EU-TRAINS

EU-TRAINS develops innovative wearables and intelligent textiles with integrated sensors for capturing vital signs – even under demanding conditions such as underwater. The project aims to promote telemedicine, health monitoring, and an active lifestyle, as well as to build a fully European value chain for sensor-based health technologies….

KERMIT

KERMIT is developing a wearable, sweat-sensitive skin patch for the early detection and remote monitoring of kidney disease. The project integrates printed electrochemical sensors, sweat stimulation, microfluidics, low-power electronics, and wireless communication in a soft, integrated patch platform….

Smart Bark Beetle Trap

In a joint project by Priot d.o.o. and Silicon Austria Labs, an intelligent, energy-autonomous bark beetle trap has been developed. It uses printed sensors, solar energy, and wireless data transmission to monitor infestation in real-time. This replaces labor-intensive manual monitoring, reduces workload, and simultaneously provides more precise data for more effective and sustainable control strategies.

Ennocure

The company Ennocure GmbH is developing an AI-powered electronic bandage that monitors wounds in real-time, detects complications early, and enables personalized treatment. In collaboration with Silicon Austria Labs, a battery-powered demonstrator has also been developed that specifically transmits signals to further optimize the healing process based on data.

ENLIGHTEN

The ENLIGHTEN project strengthens Europe's independent access to space by developing a sustainable liquid hydrogen engine demonstrator. For this, SAL is developing a cost-efficient fiber optic multiplex laser ignition system that supplies multiple ignition points from a single laser source and will be tested under demanding engine conditions up to TRL 5….

bat2share

The bat2share project aims to investigate how controlled charging processes, optimal storage, and cycling can maximize the utilization intensity of e-bike batteries, extend their lifespan, and reduce the number of batteries in circulation.

Sunrise

The SUNRISE (SUstainable depeNdable Rocket propulsion by Intelligent SEnsing) research project aims to explore intelligent sensor concepts and investigate virtual sensing for rocket engines and test stands. Specifically, the research team around project leader Manuel Freiberger, Trustworthy & Adaptive Computing research unit, will examine the use of AI technologies for an intelligent and reliable sensor concept for liquid rocket engines….

ISOLDE

The ISOLDE project aims to expand, further develop, and industrialize the European RISC-V ecosystem. RISC-V is an instruction set architecture based on the design principle of Reduced Instruction Set Computer (RISC). The project aims to leverage the open-source community to enhance the security of the RISC-V architecture and make the system more robust against attackers...

ARCHIMEDES

The ARCHIMEDES project aims to develop technologies that increase the lifespan of critical electronic systems from 8,000 to 120,000 hours, while simultaneously reducing the time required for design and qualification...

DIVERGENT

In the DIVERGENT project, methods and algorithms are being researched that enable bidirectional charging of electric vehicles, taking into account the optimal use of renewable energies and concepts for smoothing grid load peaks...
