Providing advanced microfabrication capabilities for next-generation microsystems
Located at the High-Tech Campus Villach, the 1.400 m² große SAL MicroFab SAL MicroFab is purpose-built for research, prototyping, and small-scale production. Consisting of two ISO 14644:2015 -certified cleanrooms, our facility specializes in micro(opto)electromechanical systems (M(O)EMS) and next-generation wafer-level technologies.
SAL MicroFab enables rapid prototyping, process development, characterization, and pilot fabrication for applications in advanced thin films, piezo MEMS, photonics, magnetic technologies, quantum technologies, and heterogeneous integration. By bridging the gap between fundamental research and industrial production, our MicroFab supports the translation of innovative concepts into manufacturable technologies.
