The aim of this project is the control development for a high-power density solar array simulator with a switched shunt regulator.

Project Objectives

  • Very high-power density and efficiency compared to other solar array simulators
  • Control development for a solar array simulator in MPPT Mode including the control for a switched shunt regulator
  • A fast control which follows freely programable solar array attributes
  • Transition from an analog linear amplifier to a more efficient digital amplifier
  • Replacing the linear amplifiers in solar array and battery simulators with digital amplifiers
