ALFREDA
This project aims to develop a toolchain that attempts to bridge the gap between code generation and deployment on target platforms. It acts as a seam between existing software tools, streamlining the development of power electronic control applications and simplifying the distribution of code between the operating system, real-time processors and programmable logic.
Intuitive debugging capabilities are provided by a code-aware, automatic GUI generator, which is also deployed directly to the target hardware. ALFREDA is tailored to target power hardware stacks, in particular for state-of-the-art high dynamic range power electronic converters based on SiC or GaN technology and controlled via high-speed optical interfaces.
To illustrate the "one-button" code generation and deployment, a real-world demonstrator will be set up to verify the efficacy of the ALFREDA platform on real power hardware and to contribute to emerging control problems. Examples herefor are DC micro grid stability, dynamic motor parameter identification for aging and wear, or clean grid converters.
The project is a collaboration between SAL and AVL List.
