PowerizeD

PowerizeD is an innovative EU-funded project that aims to develop breakthrough technologies in digitalized and intelligent power electronics to enable sustainable and resilient energy generation, transmission and use. PowerizeD focuses on bringing intelligence to power devices and systems to enable energy savings, cost effectiveness, increased reliability and lifetime, as well as improved functionality and interoperability of these systems.

Through the use of digitalized and intelligent electronic energy, PowerizeD seeks to improve the way energy is generated and transmitted - an important contribution to decarbonizing Europe and protecting our climate.

PowerizeD intends to enable:

  • Sustainable operation of power electronic devices with at least 30 % longer lifetime
  • Green energy by increasing the efficiency of power devices and systems with loss reduction up to 25 %
  • Reduction of required chip size by 10-15 %
  • Robust and safe operation through intelligent device control
  • Reduction of development time for power electronic control systems by 50%

The consortium of the PowerizeD project consists of 61 partners from 13 countries.
