Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) will dominate the fourth Industrial Revolution where software-defined systems and 24/7 availability represent key-features. However, the technological range to be covered and the complexity in development and integration of those systems is immense and constitutes a significant burden for start-ups, SMEs and mid-caps for having market-access as well as market shares.

The EDIH for Applied Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) is a network of technology leaders in Austria that aims to upgrade the capacity of regional and EU SMEs to leverage smart system technology. Our funding program supports the mobility, construction and production industries as well as the public sector with 100% funded services up to € 40,000 per project category.

Manufacturing, construction and mobility SMEs benefit from more than 30 tailor-made services for access to cyber-physical systems, in particular for:

  • Sensor technology and embedded systems
  • Smart systems integration
  • Digital twinning and data usage
  • Blockchain and distributed ledger technology

Project objectives

  • Digitization of companies and products through the use of digital technology
  • Focus on Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS)
