MIRAC

Project goals

The project aims to:

  • Develop a spectrum reconstruction algorithm
  • Develop fabrication processes of a tunable Fabry–Pérot interferometer using Piezo MEMS and metasurfaces
  • Develop a spectrometer based on the fabricated tunable Fabry–Pérot interferometer and the developed algorithm

NOVETROL

Within the NOVETROL project, a novel, fast, passive, and self-regulating current limiter for DC networks is being investigated. This device is based on the extraordinary magnetoresistance effect occurring in semiconductors with very high charge carrier mobility. The component functions similarly to a thermistor: instead of increasing its resistance with rising temperature, the resistance increases in response to the magnetic field generated by the fault current that the system is intended to limit….

AURORA

In collaboration with TDK Electronics, Silicon Austria Labs (SAL) has developed next-generation 2D micromirrors for AR/VR applications. The focus was on a wide field of view, low power consumption, and a compact design. The components were realized as prototypes using SAL's 200mm PiezoMEMS technology platform....

MIRAC

Within the scope of the „MIRAC“ project, sensor algorithms and microfabrication processes are being developed for a spectrometer based on a Fabry-Pérot interferometer, utilizing Piezo-MEMS and Metasurfaces, thereby creating a foundation for future applications in consumer products….
