Christian Mentin has been making a name for himself as one of the first employees at SAL since 2018 - even before there was any talk of SAL as a research center as we know it today: as a scientist for hardware design and the first employee of Power Electronics in Villach, project manager of the successful Tiny Power Box and now head of his own research unit in the Power Electronics Division, which he helped shape from the ground up. For the past two years, he has also been involved in teaching, passing on his knowledge at the Carinthian University of Applied Sciences in the courses "Industrial Power Electronics" and "Systems Design". When Christian is not working, he is tinkering with electronic systems - or can be found playing sports, cycling and, as a passionate drummer, playing brass band music.
