SAL is counting over 300 researchers and employees from 40 different countries, and we are still growing. With such a large number of nationalities represented within our ranks, internationality and diversity are a living reality, making our workspace a multicultural one. Thus, the theme for our internal summer get-together was “SAL Culture Clubbing”.
People from all three SAL locations came together in Graz, using the opportunity to arrive in their traditional clothing and bringing all sorts of delicacies from their home countries. Within a 300-person company that works from three different places, it is not always easy to know all your colleagues well. This event enabled our employees from Villach, Linz and Graz to meet face-to-face in an informal setting (some for the first time not divided by a computer screen), chat and get to know each other better.
It is fair to say that morale has been boosted and we are ready to tackle the (research) challenges of the future as a united team, now more than ever!
