MIRAC

As part of the “MIRAC” project, sensor algorithms and microfabrication processes are being developed for a spectrometer based on a Fabry-Pérot interferometer using piezo-MEMS and metasurfaces, thereby laying the groundwork for future applications in consumer products.

Project goals

The project aims to:

  • Develop a spectrum reconstruction algorithm
  • Develop fabrication processes of a tunable Fabry–Pérot interferometer using Piezo MEMS and metasurfaces
  • Develop a spectrometer based on the fabricated tunable Fabry–Pérot interferometer and the developed algorithm

Smart Bark Beetle Trap

In a joint project by Priot d.o.o. and Silicon Austria Labs, an intelligent, energy-autonomous bark beetle trap has been developed. It uses printed sensors, solar energy, and wireless data transmission to monitor infestation in real-time. This replaces labor-intensive manual monitoring, reduces workload, and simultaneously provides more precise data for more effective and sustainable control strategies.
