Aeromic

The project developed innovative wall-mounted microphone sensors and ultra-thin sensor arrays for measuring pressure fluctuations on aircraft surfaces in wind-tunnel and flight-test environments.

Project goals

The project aimed to:

  • Contributing to a cleaner sky through better measurement technology
  • Supporting quieter and more efficient aircraft design
  • Developing high-performance MEMS microphones for aeroacoustic measurement
  • Creating wall-mounted sensors for aircraft surfaces
  • Capturing pressure fluctuations with high spatial and temporal resolution
  • Delivering broad-bandwidth sensing for demanding aerospace applications
  • Advancing piezoelectric and piezoresistive MEMS innovation

Aeromic hat ein europäisches Forschungsprojekt erfolgreich abgeschlossen, das die auf mikroelektromechanischen Systemen (MEMS) basierende Mikrofontechnologie für aeroakustische Messungen vorantreibt. Die gewonnenen Erkenntnisse unterstützen die Entwicklung leiserer, effizienterer und nachhaltigerer Flugzeuge.

In collaboration with Silicon Austria Labs, a battery-powered demonstrator has also been developed that specifically transmits signals to further optimize the healing process based on data.

REDSEL

The re­search focus of this project is on inves­ti­ga­ting novel concepts and archi­tec­ture for safe, reliable, and effi­cient high-voltage/​low-voltage onboard power network systems. The diffe­rent concepts are evaluated for specific opera­ting condi­tions, and the most suitable one is imple­mented in the form of a demons­trator.
