SAL Team Wins Best Paper Award at WFCS 2026

At WFCS 2026, the SAL team received the Best Paper Award and, together with its partners, demonstrated how strong collaboration drives innovation in industrial communication.

On the WFCS Conference 2026 Silicon Austria Labs (SAL), together with its partners AGILOX and Johannes Kepler University Linz, impressively demonstrated the potential of cooperative research in the field of industrial communication technologies.

A major highlight of the conference was the Best Paper Award, presented to Tim Johansson, Fjolla Ademaj-Berisha, Roya Khanzadeh, Andreas Springer, Damir Hamidović, Bernhard Etzlinger, Leon Horn and Hans-Peter Bernhard. The award recognizes outstanding scientific contribution and innovation in the field.

In addition to this achievement, SAL contributed to the conference with:

  • Three peer-reviewed paper presentations
  • A live demonstration developed in collaboration with Infineon Technologies and AGILOX, showcasing applied research in action
  • An industry session fostering exchange between academia and industry
  • A technical tutorial delivered in collaboration with University of Stuttgart

These activities underline SAL’s commitment to bridging cutting-edge research and real-world industrial applications.

WFCS 2026 once again highlighted the importance of strong partnerships in driving innovation and shaping the future of industrial communication systems.
