Your future responsibilities
- Assessment and improvement of leading wireless technologies
- Research in multidisciplinary teamwork within RF, sensor design, cyber physical systems and software
- Theoretical analysis, simulation and experimental wireless network development in the field of real time factory communication
- Interfaces between phyiscal sensors and RF communications
- Development of testbeds to realize various wireless sensor networks including data analysis
Your profile
- Master/PhD in Electrical and/or Communication Engineering or in Computer Science
- Excellent MATLAB, Python, C/C++ programming skills are required
- Hands-on experience in coding, testing, iterative improvement, and documentation of sensor networks is required
- Experience on wireless LAN MAC layer protocol design and/or analysis is preferred
- Experience in communication system simulation or network simulation, such as ns-3, OPNET, or omnet++, is preferred
- Familiarity with at least two of the following topics is required: millimeter wave technologies, sensor network technologies, distributed networking technologies, wireless LAN systems, or wireless PAN systems
- Ability to work both independently and in a team is a must

- This position is endowed with a gross annual salary of € 42,742 based on the collective agreement for research („Forschungs-Kollektivvertrag“) and depending on your experience and skills.
