Connected Autonomous Systems Lab

CAS Lab for intelligent multi-sensor data processing and fusion

SAL is establishing a Connected Autonomous Systems Lab to research revolutionary enabling technologies for this rapidly growing class of embedded systems. Guiding case studies range from self-organizing multi-sensor arrays and robots for industrial applications to autonomous vehicles and multi-purpose drones.

THE CONNECTED AUTONOMOUS SYSTEMS LAB IS LOOKING FOR RESEARCH
ENTHUSIASTS IN THE AREAS OF

  • Sensor data processing, multimodal sensor fusion, parameter estimation and selfcalibration
  • Data and task distribution and collaborative perception
  • Distributed decision making and coordination strategies
  • Cyberphysical systems, wireless sensor & actuator networks and robotics
  • Embedded real-time SW design and HW/SW systems engineering (FGPA and micro-controller programming skills welcome)

WE HIRE...

Scientists / Researchers

You hold a PhD degree or have comparable experience and are fond of developing scientific methods and procedures as well as their application. Daily work includes collaboration with university and industrial research and/or development staff as well as being a sparring partner for and supervising of Junior Researchers. You are used to writing and reviewing (peer) research papers, reports, reviews and summaries. Openness to develop project ideas, concepts and coordinate small and medium-sized projects including preparation of research proposals and funding applications/bids is highly welcome.
